Did you know that there are numerous remedial concoctions according to the Sunnah? They really save the day when it comes to boosting energy and relieving gazillion illnesses. What is even better is that these are super-duper easy to make. Here are two of the most popular ones which are sure to surprise you!

Number 1: The Knight in shining armor: Nabeez-e-Tamr

This one is known to be a remedy for many illnesses.

What you need: One cup of mild warm water and a few dates

How to make it: Soak the dates in mild warm water, let it stay overnight.

In the morning drink the water in which the dates had been soaked and eat the dates. That’s it!

Note: (do not use boiled or boiling water for this recipe)

Number 2: The Energy Booster: Talbina

Do you feel lethargic quite often? Too much on your plate but not enough energy in your bones? No fear, Talbina is here! Amongst its many benefits are improved memory and it can be used as a dietary supplement.

What you need: 4 ounces of milk / water, 1-2 tablespoons of 100% barley flour. You may also need one small ilaichi and honey if you wish to add them for taste.

How to make it: Add 1-2 tablespoons of barley flour to 4 ounces of milk or water and mix it. You may add one small ilaichi for taste as well. Cook the mixture on low heat for 5-10 mins or when it becomes consistent like a broth and that’s it. It will look like a watery paste. If you wish to make it thicker, you may add more flour. You may also add some honey to the talbina to sweeten it according to your taste.
