About Us

Speaker 1

Our Legacy

For over two decades, LUMS Religious Society has fostered a diverse space for members to embrace religious teachings and engage in religious discourse. Through monthly sessions featuring prominent speakers like Junaid Jamshed and Maulana Tariq Jameel, LRS has enriched the community's bond with their beliefs. Notably, LRS received the biggest audience at a student-run event by LUMS at the session with Ustaad Nauman Ali Khan, highlighting the value our community places in LRS sessions. Offering classes on Quranic Arabic, Tajweed, Seerah, Ahadith, and Theology, LRS serves as a continuous source of learning. Beyond religious discourse, the society unites students for humanitarian causes, raising funds for Palestine and addressing issues like the Refugee Crisis. LRS and the LUMS Masjid annually bring over 4,000 students together during Ramadan for charity drives, donation avenues, and shared Sehr-o-Aftaar at the Masjid, fostering unity and inclusivity.

Message from the Executive Council

We are honored to be a part of this community that celebrates Religion at LUMS. In a University that needs a stronger connection with our roots and culture, we are proud to make efforts in bringing about Lectures, Classes, Events, Trips, and Exhibitions that help the LUMS Community forge bonds with its Religious traditions and philosophy. LRS provides a safe and comfortable space for those who seek a stronger connection with God and want to own this part of their life's journey.
